I think that’s a little melodramatic given the catches (albeit two, but 2 tough ones) that Moye came up with prior to that drop–that’s more than Sweed ever did

Lets not go Sweed just yet . He’s made some nice catches and will make more I’m sure

Speaking of Moye, why wasn’t there a penalty thrown on his first catch? If that wasn’t a defenseless receiver, I don’t know what is. They could have broken his neck.

Absolutely. I didn’t understand that non-call at all.

Sorry, I was not referring to Moye as being Sweed-like. I just got a kick out of a #14 dropping the ball (Yes, it would have been a tough catch).

I disagree. I think he just lost his concentration for a second and dropped a ball that was right in his hands. You have to live with young players screwing up from time to time though. I don’t think he’s Sweed-like. I do think that Tomlin and Mann need to have a quick chat with him about blowing TD opportunities. It’s not like anyone was even in contact with him when he dropped that ball.

      Look at Ben face. http://sulia.com/channel/pittsburgh-steelers/f/7f2d7d4c-fee3-4d9e-bc66-141f03b8d9de/?source=fb

Actually if you look at the film you can see Ben saying “he dropped it!” with obvious disgust. I feel for Moye, though. He was probably still a little disoriented from being nearly beheaded.

I hear what you’re saying about Moye being disoriented. But, he still has to make that play. Would Hines Ward have dropped that pass?
That is the guy he has to emulate if he ever wants a regular role in the Offense.
Guys like Moye and Ward, who aren’t the most talented, have to maximize their opportunities or sit down on the bench.
