No trashed rental houses, no naked Twitter photos, no unpaid dog sitters, no paranoid delusions of his office being bugged.

Whatever happens, should Haley get the axe, I just hope that Art Deuce stays out of it and lets Tomlin hire an OC that he is comfortable with and that he knows will mesh well with Ben on a personal level.

MT should also have a long sitdown with Ben and tell him that his passive aggressive comments to the press do nothing to help his relationship with his OC and are detrimental to the team.

      Ben’s leadership skills are weak.

i still didn’t take it as a jab at haley….made sense to me, ask the guy calling the plays…..

won’t due to fire and hire if guys like sanders are back to drop big passes and adams is wiffing on blocks or cody wallace is starting

Agreed, Mike. So much depends on the tone of what Ben said.

Ben’s comments were taking out of context per Dulac. These reporters from ESPN and NFL network only want sensationalism to make a name for themselves. Prisuta also said that the whole thing with Ben was a joke by these national media nutbags.

I too think Art II needs to stay out of the picking of yet another OC…If that does happen….And yes I also believe Roethlisberger’s leadership skills are weak..It’s too bad he doesn’t show more of a Fast&Furious type of leadership on the field as he did with his past off field ordeals…

I was never in favor of the Haley hire to from the start. Kubiak would be a good choice for one reason is that he was a QB in the league and played behind Elway another #7 and I think he would be good for Ben and the offense as a whole.

Regardless of whether Ben’s comments were taken out of context or not (and two reporters, one of which was Gen Collier said his body language matched his tone), Ben is not a rookie. He is a ten year vet who should know that everything he says “can and will be used against him in” the court of public opinion.
He also has a track record for making these kinds of passive aggressive suggestions to the media before. He apologized to the team and coaches as recently as last season for doing so.
Whether he meant to create this kind of controversy and distraction or not, he should fucking know better. And that goes back to his lack of leadership ability.
