The biggest of all and what turned the game around was when the thug Upshaw hit Ben hemet to helmet a cheap shot and on purpose Bens jaw was obviously hurting. Then the very next play which was the steelers on defense, Big Mac absolutely destroyed flakeO with a hard body slam hit!!! To me it changed everything and the Steelers D took the momentum. I think it might even be a season turning point. It reminded me of when Lambert smashed cliff Harris for messing with Gerela in the SB. I was screaming at my TV that we needed to do something to the rats even if it was after the whistle because they were clearly trying to knock Ben out of the game. I’ve always hated the rats but they sunk to a new low and it all starts with that smug ass loser hairball!! A truly classless organization.
Your point is excellent. I noted the effect with the bullets about Ben getting hit but getting better and Flacco getting hit but getting worse. Whether or not the source of the latter was deliberate retribution by Mac, it still reveals the character of the two QBs.
When Little Mac hit Flacco, he lifted him and slammed him. I really believe he did it on purpose, knowing he’d get fined. It sent a message to the Rats D that said, “You cheap shot our guy, we’ll deck yours. Knock it off.”
The ref stopping the game after one of the scrums, talking to both head coaches and both huddles individually to regain control of the game went a long way toward no one getting tossed out. Suggs made it clear that he wasn’t listening by talking loud to the Steelers bench afterward and thumping his chest. That was one play after he went low into Blount’s legs. Scum bag.
We all knew Harblah was a dirty rat bastard, but the resilience of the Steelers to choose to beat them with good ol fashioned horse power and knock their crank in the dirt–as opposed to fighting dirty with dirty–really highlighted the house of pricks that they run over there.
Copa, you really need to set the page to count only votes from people who are logged in. Only a Rats fan would down vote this.
I take it as a badge of honor if some butthurt ratbag fan downvotes my post. In fact, I think that should be a goal.
