But no worries about Steel Balls. We're on the latest PHP update. Workin' hard to stay ahead of the criminals, con artists, and AI.

copanut

Sad day.

Earl

RIP Tom Skerritt

Earl

RIP John Anderson

Earl

At least I can admit both sides are equal when it comes to shitbaggery

Earl

That's almost as bad as free health care , phones & nice hotels . And reparations! dont leave that out

J A M E S H ™️

Un-American.

J A M E S H ™️

This is so wrong on so many levels. More laws broken and it weakens the USA. https://politicalwire.com/2026/10/22/foreign-service-officers-asked-if-they-voted-for-trump/

J A M E S H ™️

Curling could be an easy transition in a few years.

J A M E S H ™️

“Geriatric hockey.” laugh

That kept getting funnier for me.

MWalsh26

I was waiting for someone to notice I was the 9th shooter from my team. It was like, let's see who is left lol

MWalsh26

@Earl: It is not geriatric, only me. It is 18 and over.

Earl

Can you imagine watching geriatric hockey

Earl

MVS is really the best they could find ? Hands of stone

J A M E S H ™️

The Steelers Defense has allowed two TDs over the past eleven quarters.

J A M E S H ™️

Aaron Rodgers has lost 159 yards from sacks taken. That is tied with Geno Smith for most in the league.

gsmaroff

J A M E S H ™️

Old Bill has sure aged. https://x.com/bohuslavskakate/status/2113011301806968861?s=46

J A M E S H ™️

Copa- “Been there, done that” is one thing; “been there, done that…….on expense account” is much better.

J A M E S H ™️

Congrats, Mike. Respect the Jersey!

copanut

@MWalsh26: Not bad for an old man. I wonder if you can still do that with a knee replacement.

copanut

@J A M E S H ™️: Reminds of the time I had a ticket for a business trip to Germany when I got whacked by the CEO. The ticket was non-refundable, so I said ¨fuck it¨ and went anyway. Turned into a nice vacation with zero work stress, all on the CEO's dime.

Tuskegee_Brown

@MWalsh26: No matter how old you get moments like great. Happy for you.

J A M E S H ™️

Steelers ILB Patrick Queen (Year 7) and Saints QB Tyler Shough (Year 2) are the same age. Both are 27 and Queen is a month and a half older.

MWalsh26

Shoot out winner the other night with my bad knee…

J A M E S H ™️

I did not know that.

J A M E S H ™️

Just read on Wikipedia that Najee’s middle name is Mzee.

MWalsh26

@Tuskegee_Brown: rumor has it the Steelers didn’t resign him because he questioned the coaching in Pittsburgh

J A M E S H ™️

Imagine Rayshawn Jenkins all packed and ready to fly to Paris and then he gets released.

copanut

Well, he's now priced as a third round pick. Actually, probably more like a vet minimum.

J A M E S H ™️

Najee would have been a great third round pick.

Eleven

I contend that there is a lot more going on than we read or hear about. Harbaugh would not have cut him if he thought Najee was part of the solution and not part of the problem. Hopefully he lands somewhere. I always liked him. I was never on the Mike / Earl bandwagon that we needed to spend a 1 on a running back, but I understood the need.

copanut

Hard to believe Naj was cut for that. More likely he was cut because he only works well in a scheme where he is the feature back.

J A M E S H ™️

She said…..

J A M E S H ™️

We’re more disciplined than I expected.

Tuskegee_Brown

Najee Harris will officially be known as a journeyman now. When I heard he was cut for post game comments I thought it was something egregious. He was cut for saying a known fact.

copanut

Can you imagine how many ints Trubisky and Pickett would have thrown if they were allowed to target MoF, with lazy ass receivers for targets? Yikes.

J A M E S H ™️

Nice little tape study of Pony Package we used. https://x.com/ktsmithfootball/status/2112902564975095888?s=46

J A M E S H ™️

Probably raised the floor, however.

J A M E S H ™️

That philosophy won more games than it lost but lowered the ceiling and was annoying to watch.

J A M E S H ™️

I understand Tomlin’s thought process but man it was hard to watch. With a healthy Ben, and Hines and Heath, etc, he had no problem using MoF. But with the series of bozo QBs and WRs, he thought it better to protect the ball and keep risk/reward to a minimum.

mack

So good to see coach open up middle of field, sure was sick of the Tomlin way!!

J A M E S H ™️

Aren’t you guys kinda young to have had knee replacements?

J A M E S H ™️

Tomlin could have change his name to Magellan and still wouldn’t have been able to find the MoF at the end.

Earl

https://steelersdepot.com/2026/10/new-data-shows-mike-mccarthy-has-reversed-mike-tomlins-most-criticized-philosophy/

TomPaulBillyBob

I had a total right knee replacement about 4 years ago - a very good decision …. I really need to do my left

TomPaulBillyBob

@Walsh - the video you posted of the (3rd & 16?) play was a drive / game saver …. And in the middle of the field nonetheless

I’m certain all of you knew this, but just as remedial learning, the ACE bandage was so named in 1918 as an acronym for All Cotton Elastic bandage.

J A M E S H ™️

I typically don’t find out medical costs for several weeks, if not months, when I receive an EoB.

copanut

$3000? Or for the partial, $2500 each.

Eleven

Anyone want to guess the list price of the colonoscopy?

copanut

Not that there's anything wrong with that...

copanut

So nice, you'll do it twice.

Eleven

Yes, I opted for the partial colonoscopy. I enjoyed it so much I will finish it tomorrow.

J A M E S H ™️

In a weird way, I was hoping he’d say we should do that. Thought it might alleviate problems down the road.

Earl

Yes - Both Partials . Life changing for me ... in a good way

J A M E S H ™️

Doc said no signs of arthritic degradation. Said I had the knee of a 35 year old……. with an injured knee.

J A M E S H ™️

You’ve had both of yours replaced, yes?

J A M E S H ™️

Sad….. I enjoy watching the little Amazon truck on the App map get closer….. like UberEats.

Earl

Get you a new one ... Knee that is

J A M E S H ™️

Is he coherent enough for standup?

J A M E S H ™️

Just lying around with an ice pack…..waiting for Amazon.

J A M E S H ™️

From what I’ve been reading, I’m starting to believe he called a Run and AR got cute.

copanut

McCarthy's actions are easy to understand once you realize he spent the entire halftime in the blue tent for concussion protocol. The ankle thing was just a ruse.

J A M E S H ™️

Every muscle in my body wants to do things that my left knee will not permit.

Earl

He is funny , not sure about stand up though

J A M E S H ™️

I wonder if there’s an Over/Under for how many times he says “n’shit.”

J A M E S H ™️

AB is unsinkable.

J A M E S H ™️

Doesn’t seem like we’ve been this good.

J A M E S H ™️

Gerry Dulac already in Paris.

J A M E S H ™️

The Steelers are 8-9 all-time against the Saints and 4-6 against them on the road. Last road win was in 1990. They are 1-3 against the Saints in their last four meetings. The Steelers won the last meeting 20-10 in Pittsburgh.

J A M E S H ™️

Steelers are 3.5 point favorites against the Saints.

J A M E S H ™️

And probably the longer Tomlin coached, the farther away from a Gold Jacket he would become.

J A M E S H ™️

Considering stress, pressure, QoL, etc, I think Tomlin at $11M has the better gig than Harbaugh at $20M.

J A M E S H ™️

Harbaugh has been navigating some serious challenges.

Earl

I guess the benching of Skatapoo is over

J A M E S H ™️

Najee cut by Giants.

J A M E S H ™️

Everyone watching the game knew what to do there except McCarthy.

Earl

Rodgers missed the throw to DK . towards the inside would have been an easy six

J A M E S H ™️

Roman Wilson will never be WR2.

J A M E S H ™️

I think Bernard is already taking some Defensive attention off Metcalf. Let’s hope that trend continues.

J A M E S H ™️

Every single person watching the game knew what to do……..except McCarthy. https://steelersdepot.com/2026/10/even-in-a-win-mike-mccarthys-late-game-decisions-need-questioned/

What is more shocking is they actually threw it past the sticks lol

Super Bowl, here we come. https://steelersdepot.com/2026/10/report-steelers-signing-wr-marquez-valdes-scantling-2/

copanut

I only watched bits and pieces of the Dallas game last night. I witnessed an outstanding pass break up by JPJ. But he also gave up a bad DPI that ultimately led to a touchdown. So, business as usual. Really not missed, considering that the alternative was him sitting out with [insert injury].

MWalsh26

There was a play when Daniels scrambled for a first down and I swear Queen just watched him.

copanut

Queen is garbage and needs to be gone next year. All talk, no action. Ramsey, on the other hand, brings it. Maybe he'd make a better ILB than Queen - good range and not afraid to hit.

J A M E S H ™️

What I hear from you:

copanut

¨Lou Rawls Colonoscopy¨. I'm dying. laugh

MWalsh26

@J A M E S H ™️: The calm voice of reason said the same thing I did.DK: ¨really bad¨ and ¨concerning¨ clock management. But it is easier for you to hear the sky is blue from someone else...

J A M E S H ™️

Germie Bernard is the first Steeler to ever record his first regular season touchdown catch in overtime.

J A M E S H ™️

Yesterday was Jalen Ramsey's second Steelers game with 2 sacks (Browns in 2025 the other).

He joins Carnell Lake as Pittsburgh's only two DBs to ever have multiple 2+ sack games.

Earl

Its effort . He doesn't give any

J A M E S H ™️

He’s like the Deion Sanders of LBs.

J A M E S H ™️

I posted this yesterday but I’m still infuriated. Patrick Queen. How does your ILB finish with just three tackles?

J A M E S H ™️

Ravens play the Bengals this week; Browns play the Titans.

J A M E S H ™️

And those instructions are the same for a 95lb woman with diarrhea and a 400lb man who has been constipated for a week.

Earl

“The worst part of a colonoscopy isn’t the procedure. It’s realizing the prep instructions are basically a legally binding evacuation order.”

J A M E S H ™️

It’s only about the size of a baseball and is very close to the ceiling. They say nobody else notices it.

J A M E S H ™️

The crew at my local GI have a replica of the disco ball hanging in their procedure room as an inside joke.

Eleven

I even let my wife watch that video.

Eleven

That was fucking hilarious James, I am crying!

J A M E S H ™️

Well, at least you can afford to have a doctor do yours.

Eleven

My doctor studied at Mt. Sinai in Manhattan. I only allow Mt. Sinai men near my anus.

J A M E S H ™️

Eleven

I bet that is the first time you heard colonoscopy and gravy train in the same sentence.

Eleven

It has been 7 years since the last one for me. TPBB, I have a feeling he will tell me tomorrow that this is my last. That said, for what he is charging, I bet he wants this gravy train to continue.

Eleven

James, you do have an alabaster anus!

J A M E S H ™️

This is too real.

J A M E S H ™️

Read several analysts prior to the game who expected Todd Bowle’s history of twists and stunts to confound Imax. He did not disappoint them. Hopefully he will learn quickly from this game.

copanut

Actually, they should have punted on first down. Pin them deep!

J A M E S H ™️

Or just go to Taco Bell.

J A M E S H ™️

Copa, not to argue, but why on earth did you think running three straight flea-flickers was the right thing to do at the goal line?

copanut

@Eleven: Take the pills instead of the drink. Much easier.

J A M E S H ™️

There’s that Cynic again.

J A M E S H ™️

Eleven, I hope the results tomorrow are all positive. The Prep Day is always worse than the procedure. I’ve had one at least every three years for over 30 years.

copanut

@Earl: ¨99% of their wins are ugly and stressful¨ Just the way the NFL wants it. They've spent decades engineering the game to produce these outcomes, and we cucks gobble it up willingly.

J A M E S H ™️

Thanks for the DK link, Earl. I keep forgetting. He’s a calm voice of reason.

TomPaulBillyBob

It’s better than losing to a bad team - IND / LAR come to mind

Earl

Lets not pretend they just beat a good team

Earl

I am happy with the W but this team needs a culture change to get back to the level we desire

Earl

We came to expect that from Tomlin . Silly us thinking McCarthy would be any different .

MWalsh26

DK: ¨really bad¨ and ¨concerning¨ clock management lol

MWalsh26

Now if we can only throw to our WR downfield lol

MWalsh26

It almost seemed Dean did not see the QB chasing him and was walking it in...then was like uh-oh lol

TomPaulBillyBob

Good point Earl - but then they’d have had plenty of time to score - prob would’ve scored a TD and gone for 2 (and made it, obviously) …. That’d been our luck

Earl

Aside from poor clock management , the worst play of the game was Dean not scoring on that pick . My grandmother would have caught him he was running so slow . and she's been dead for 20 years

MWalsh26

And 3 straight runs does not mean they won’t score. It just also kills the clock. 1:20 and 2 TO you have significantly greater odds of tying the game than 30 seconds and no TO. How many times have we heard “they scored too soon”.

MWalsh26

@copanut: read EP’s post or have AA CnP. I believe both the words Walsh and Argue are used.

MWalsh26

https://steelersdepot.com/2026/10/mike-mccarthy-defends-controversial-clock-management-decisions/

TomPaulBillyBob

Eleven - At least you haven’t reached the age where they’re no longer needed because any anomalies will outlive you … so at least there’s that …. Here’s to moisturizing infused TP

Earl

Good Luck with that

Earl

99% of their wins are ugly and stressful

Eleven

Having a colonoscopy tomorrow, so today is going to suck. Just thought I’d share that.

Eleven

In fact, it may have been the least pretty W in recent memory.

Eleven

I think we all can agree that a W is preferable to a L. It was not a pretty W, but it was a W.

Earl

Is there a more effortless passer of the ball than Jordan Love?

Earl

dont we all

TomPaulBillyBob

No but I’m sure he’s questioning his decision making

Earl

Did Donald already retire again ?

TomPaulBillyBob

The Rams Dream Team at 2-4 is what one would expect in this league where dream teams don’t survive

Earl

Queen played like a Queen . He seems to avoid contact

Earl

The O-line is very suspect

Earl

On a side note , Imax played like $hit yesterday

TomPaulBillyBob

This is the same dude who just last week said ‘players only meetings’ would never exist on his team - as if to suggest he had complete control of his locker room. Speaking of course re: the Cowboys one such meeting, the very team who benefited from his failures to maintain control of his locker room - the irony is priceless. I don’t miss him

TomPaulBillyBob

MT would have ran 3 times, kicked the FG, then would have tried an onside kick because “we saw something on tape and we got the look we wanted. We’re not gonna live in our fears”

copanut

Given a choice, I'll always take a certain TD over an uncertain FG, even at the expense of leaving some time / TOs. The field goal can be missed (ask Tyler Loop). Yes, it probably won't be missed with Boz, but not certain. And with today's kickers, you don't need more than a good return or a pass or two for the opponent to be in FG range. How many times have we seen that?

copanut

@MWalsh26: The only one arguing here is you. Doesn't it get tiring to create your own arguments and then battle them? I don't disagree with your assessment and I never did. I said that I could at least understand a pass on first down, although that would not be my choice, and the 2nd and 3rd downs certainly should have been running plays. Why is a pass on first down not the craziest thing? Because it's unexpected, and it would give a one touchdown lead (the first of the day) and all the momentum and crowd noise. TB would need to drive the length of the field with their UDFA QB who wasn't responding well to pressure. It's not the worst thing in the world, despite your insistance. But, it's also not my first choice in that situation, which, LET ME BE CLEAR, matches your own. Really, you don't need to give me a crayon sketch of how the TOs could be consumed and some of the clock bled.

J A M E S H ™️

Germie Bernard now owns the Steelers record for single-game receptions by a rookie wide receiver with 11. Record was previously held by JuJu Smith-Schuster with 9 in 2017.

J A M E S H ™️

Germie Bernard is now the second Steelers rookie since 2000 to record 10 or more receptions in a game (Najee Harris, 2021).

MWalsh26

Fatty needs a scooter so he can make halftime adjustments and keep his head in the game.

MWalsh26

Not sure what the arguement here is? They gave the ball back to Tampa with too much time and the kicked a FG to tie it. We were lucky to win because early in OT they somehow pulled this play off on 3rd and long:16-yd Pass
9:11 - OT
(Shotgun) A.Rodgers pass short middle to D.Metcalf to PIT 47 for 20 yards (I.Melifonwu; A.Anzalone) [D.Walker].The Replay Official reviewed the runner was not down by contact ruling, and the play was REVERSED.(Shotgun) A.Rodgers pass deep middle to D.Metcalf to PIT 43 for 16 yards (K.Scott) [D.Walker].
3rd & 13 at PIT 27

MWalsh26

1:38 left. 1st down run the ball you can kill 6 seconds. 1:32. Tampa TO. 2nd down run the ball you can kill 6 seconds. 1:26. 3rd down run the ball you can kill 6 seconds no TO. 1:20. A team can kill 40 seconds off the play clock after a regular play ends. 40 seconds left. TO Steelers. 4th Down kick FO 6 seconds. Steelers kick off with 34 seconds left in the game. Tampa has no TO.

J A M E S H ™️

Per Matt Williamson: Rodgers had a 2.27 second average time to throw!!!!

J A M E S H ™️

MWalsh26

I would have run around and taken a knee. Kill the clock. Kick the FG.

MWalsh26

@copanut: It was not about scoring a TD there. It was about getting Tampa to use their TO and run the clock down. Basic clock management. I don't care what coach.

MWalsh26

They want to fire Sirianni in Philly for the KO in the field of play with 8 seconds. Had the Steelers run the ball 3 times and kicked a FG Tampa would have gotten the ball back with about 30-40 seconds and no TO. Throwing it there was stupid whoever called it. Nothing to argue.

MWalsh26

@copanut: If it worked Tampa would have had 1:40ish left and 2 TO. Bleed the clock...

MWalsh26

Run it 3 times. Not only that but Washington was not open. Don't throw it.

MWalsh26

@EstimatedProphet: Rodgers probably changed the play. But that almost cost them the game.

J A M E S H ™️

Can someone explain to me how an ILB finishes the game with only 3 tackles?

copanut

I'm not watching, but it looks like JPJ got flagged for a 37 yard DPI late in the 2nd quarter. The drive resulted in a TD.

copanut

Sounds like The Omen. Terrible.

J A M E S H ™️

I won’t post a link to the video but it is everywhere. Tragic. And sadly, not AI.

J A M E S H ™️

Jesus. A Catholic priest was killed last night during a live-streamed mass in Guayaquil, Ecuador when a massive wooden cross became detached from the wall behind him and fell directly on him.

J A M E S H ™️

Antisthenes may have been the founder of Cynicism, but his brother was the founder of Sinuscism.

copanut

JPJ had a TFL on the first play of the game against Green Bay, so I guess his ankle, back, and tummy are okay. That's his only stat so far.

EstimatedProphet

No point in arguing with Walsh, but zero chance Rogers would EVER call 3 running plays.

copanut

Don't forget his brother, Antihistamines, whose nickname was Sneezy.

J A M E S H ™️

Antisthenes, Diogenes, and copa.

copanut

Ravens are 0-5 when Derrick Henry loses a fumble. That's an interesting stat. But consider that the Titans were 0-8 when Henry fumbled. That's such an extreme stat that it borders on bizarre. It might make someone speculate about the timing of his fumbles and whether anyone was coincidentally enriched.

copanut

Another small update on Bernard vs Lemon. In today's action, Bernard caught 11 of 12 targets (92%) with 69 YAC, while Lemon caught 3 of 6 targets (50%) for 4 YAC.

copanut

How about Washington three times? You could have l'il Warren push his tush for a change. omg

J A M E S H ™️

Jerome Bettis up the gut three times.

copanut

I get it, but that's what makes one surprise shot reasonable. If it worked, nobody would complain. I don't like the call, but I understand it. Third down was just stupid, though.

Earl

It was about using clock and forcing TB to use all their timeouts

Eleven

I like the RPO

copanut

Wasn't it last week that he ran a sneak for a TD? The old guy has moxie.

J A M E S H ™️

And it’s not like you can run AR around the edge on a keeper. One less thing the D has to be prepared for.

copanut

We fans are a strange lot. If they came out and ran three run plays up the middle and were stopped (the Mike Tomlin special), fans would be apoplectic about it. Now, they say you should run it three times, but of course! Bottom line: whatever works is genius, whatever doesn't is moronic.

J A M E S H ™️

Matt Williamson always says when in doubt, take a Tackle.

J A M E S H ™️

Listening to the post game show, Batch and Prisuta made a point about the situation where we all thought they should have run it three times. The point being MM and AR like to throw the ball. Instead of thinking maybe they should have run it, they’re thinking they should have had a better pass play called.

Eleven

Personally, if not QB, I would always go OL in the 1st.

J A M E S H ™️

And to think some fans thought it was the end of the world when we missed Lemon. The most hysterical line of thought was that the FO panicked when they took Iheanachor…..as if they didn’t have a plan in place.

copanut

Bernard vs Lemon update through 6 games: Bernard 23 receptions, 221 yards, 9.6 average, 1 TD; Lemon 18 receptions, 127 yards, 7.1 average, 0 TDs.
